let's not exaggerate too much with Oracle. The worst employer that I had in Bucharest

why? in zurich it's pretty good. definitely comparable to google etc

I dont think Oracle develops anything important in Romania , although they have a big office here , from what i know their salaries are below average

This guide sucks.

15 companies listed for Dublin Ireland. Most companies have their European HQ in Dublin. Probably every company listed on this page is in Dublin

Nicola Amadio's avatar

Randy a lot of companies have an office in Dublin but not a large engineering presence in Dublin. This list is accurate

agree most companies are either US based and don't post in Europe OR they are not IT

What would you say about Lisbon, Portugal?

Nicola Amadio's avatar

Seems to be popular among remote workers, especially those who qualify for NHR/NHR_2. The local market ain't that great though.

Not so good. Wouldn’t recommend it over any of these 20 cities. Low pay, few good companies

This guide like; I was drunk near the ocean.

Combination of factors that most devs out there find attractive: compensation, size of office in the city, quality of work being done there, company brand, amount of job openings, career progression opportunities, how engineers are treated in the company (is it a cost center, first-class citizens etc) and so on.

Missing Bloomberg London and other quants (GSA Capital, Marshall Wace, Quadrature, Five Rings, G-Research).
