I finally introduced some change that was due for some time now:
Added description to (most) jobs
Added search bar to filter jobs by text-matching words in the description
1. Description
On the big tech jobs page, almost every job should now have it.
On the fully-remote jobs page, maybe half. But will make sure most jobs have it here too, soon.
Basically just click on a job card and see the description - if you like, click “apply” and go to the job post on the company career page and fill out the application:
2. Search by Skills
This is the search bar I’m talking about:
I’ve added it to both the Big Tech Jobs page and the Fully Remote Jobs one.
You can put anything you want there, even more than one word. You can separate words with spaces or commas, like: “react, typescript, kubernetes” or “react typescript kubernetes” - they’ll both work.
Put whatever you want, then click the Search Skills on the right and there you go.
It should be very reliable for the Big Tech Jobs page (since most jobs have description field).
For the remote page, if you don’t find a job after having added filter, it doesn’t mean the job with that skillset isn’t there: it might mean that it’s there but it didn’t have a description field so it was filtered out (in this case you can use the other search bar as well to try out filtering by words in job title, company, location etc). Will report updates as I add descriptions to more jobs here.
