Euro Top Tech Jobs - Week 12
Latest updates on the best open positions for SWEs in Europe right now
This week’s gift
Check out cryptojobslist.com.
Pretty good website for finding high-paying remote jobs in Crypto/Web3.
A simple search for fully-remote jobs paying $80k+ gives out 18 results already, with several paying in the $150k-$300k range. Pretty good if you’re based in LCLT :)
And as you can see you don’t even need to be necessarily be a domain expert. You can also work as a regular Backend/Full-stack/Frontend engineer or Data Scientist etc.
This week’s gift - part 2!
EuroTopTechJobs is receiving a lot of enthusiasm and traction, for which I’m very thankful 🙏 Therefore this week I’ll give out another free gift.
I want to share with you (especially the ones still in school) a list of the top intern positions open at the moment, directly from EuroTopTechJobs (ETTJ):
(btw, I find it quite cool to see these low code app dev positions from Oracle 👀)
You can just search these jobs by the name or in the companies’ websites in order to be able to apply.
I ended up noticing this “view” thanks to a recent subscriber of ETTJ, who’s a MSc CS student at Polimi in Milan.
When I asked him “how do you like the board?”
He replied “I very much like it. It’s helping me greatly in keeping track of all the top internship positions in Europe. Before, I had to keep track of it manually, and it would be quite time consuming, and I would end up forgetting or missing some. This way I can quickly see what’s open and make sure I’m always applying to the new ones, such that I maximise my chances of getting a top internship before I graduate”.
I think this is quite cool.
Because I remember when I was doing my MSc myself it was quite an effort to do this job manually.
And, as I mentioned in this article, getting a top internship really is a super strategic move to make as a student: without the expectations and the requirements that full-time jobs require, you can still position yourself as a top 1% dev in the market.
And it’s much easier to “stay a 1% dev” then to become one, once you start working with lower-tier companies.
Also, if you’re non-European, this would be even more relevant for you.
As it’s much easier to get a visa sponsorship for an internship than it is for a full-time role.
And it’s much easier to get visa sponsorship for a full-time role, if you’ve done an internship at the company that ended up with you earning a return offer.
So, students: don’t miss out on this opportunity!
Literally, forget about getting good grades, and optimise for top internship.
It’s of course just my personal view, but I think it’s quite a solid one.
I think, in this context, getting ETTJ, for just 5 euros a month, could very well be worth it.
Some other updates
On the platform/job board side, I’ve recently created a landing page at eurotoptechjobs.com with the goal of giving a more clear idea about the product to people who’re not familiar with it.
And on the related Newsletter’s article page I’ve also added a demo video where I show what you find inside the job board. I’ve also added it on youtube and you can access it clicking “WATCH DEMO” from the landing page.
Let me know if you like the landing page and if you have some improvement recommendation!
NEXT WEEK BIG CHANGES
I’m cooking up some stuff related to ETTJ, and I will probably send it live next week with the weekly newsletter article (because of this, I might postpone the CV guide mentioned here by one week).
For the new subs (intro to the job board):
As you might know already, I run a job board containing top-paying dev jobs in Europe, weekly updated and sent to The European Engineer paid subscribers (5 eur/month or 50 eur/year).
Recently, I’ve also started creating a list of high-paying fully-remote job, shared in the job board: I’m adding 3 companies per week; started on 20/07/2024, and with this week’s update we’re at 18 companies with salaries in the $100k-$500k range for a fully-remote job.
I am now sending every subscribers (also the free ones) a weekly update regarding some insights and analytics based on this board.
You can check last week’s analytics here.
You can subscribe here: https://www.theeuropeanengineer.com/subscribe
Created a new video demo
I’ve added a video demo of the board here, you might want to check it out if you’re not already a paid sub and want to evaluate if you like it :)
