Initial article (written in June 2024 — FYI the site was initially a Google Sheet)
The problem of finding top dev jobs in Europe
One of the most tedious tasks of building a fulfilling and profitable career as a dev in Europe is to find and track the (few) high-paying jobs out there.
I’ve experienced this myself in my career so far (check 1, 2, 3 and 4 for info on my career journey), and it took me years to gain an understanding of which companies would pay good salaries to software engineers, in which locations they would hire, and how much I would be able to retain from that salary, after taxes and living costs.
That’s why I created a job board to address this problem
Simply, a one-stop shop with all this information: SUBSCRIBE HERE.
Here you’ll find all the jobs that fit the criteria of “top jobs” for devs in Europe.
You’ll also find the estimated saving rates (in US dollars) for each of these jobs (right now, some jobs are missing the saving rate, but with time I plan to list the saving rate for all of them).
Saving rate is basically the money that would remain in your bank account at the end of the year by working that job, based on your lifestyle (frugal, comfortable or luxurious). It’s roughly calculated as: Total Gross Compensation - Taxes - Living Costs.
The jobs listed in the job board are positions that are open right now, and that you can apply to.
I also provide the LinkedIn job post link for you to send your application.
I hope you enjoy it and find it valuable!
