EDIT: I've shut down the community. Check here to see why.

Some weeks ago, I set out on a journey to create a community for fully-remote, six-figure tech workers.

It started as a small experiment, but quickly turned into something much more substantial.

For more details, you can check my latest community update posted 2 weeks ago.

Today, I'm excited to share with you how this journey has evolved, what I've learned, and what Remote GOATs is becoming.

The Beginning

It all began with a simple idea: there are a lot of remote tech workers earning $100k+ per year, but many of them feel isolated in their success.

They're working from home or hopping between countries, thriving in their careers, but lacking a sense of connection with others who truly understand their challenges and experiences.

My aim was to create a space where these people could meet, share, and grow together.

Initially, I launched a free Telegram group.

The entry requirement was simple: prove that you are a fully-remote worker earning over $100k per year.

In just a few weeks, almost 70 members had joined.

The discussions started rolling—people shared tax optimization tips, referred each other to high-paying remote job opportunities, and exchanged stories of their journeys.

It was clear that the community filled a gap.

From Experiment to Commitment

While the initial group was successful, I quickly realized that maintaining a valuable community wasn't a simple hobby.

It took time, energy, and a sense of responsibility to moderate discussions, ensure quality engagement, and keep the space safe and productive for everyone.

There were real challenges—privacy concerns, people needing support, evaluating applications, and the day-to-day operational work of managing a group of high-achieving professionals.

That's why I decided to take the experiment to the next level.

I relaunched Remote GOATs as a paid community—something that I could dedicate more resources to and dedicate more time and energy to.

This shift meant that I had a real incentive to make sure the community was valuable to every single member.

It also meant I could invest in improving the platform, creating separate channels for topics like jobs, remote living, and taxes, and making sure that our community culture was healthy, welcoming, and spam-free.

What’s the Goal for Remote GOATs

Today, the goal for Remote GOATs is to be the #1 network for fully remote, six-figure tech workers.

It's a growing, professional community with dedicated channels for important topics, community guidelines to foster respectful and productive interactions, and a focused mission: to be a reference point for high-paid remote tech workers who value freedom, optionality, prosperity, and becoming part of the new tech elite.

Members are benefiting from peer support, networking opportunities, and exclusive insights into high-paying remote roles in small, lesser-known companies—roles that are often only accessible through word-of-mouth or personal referrals.

The jobs shared in the community aren't your standard listings; they come with context from someone who's already in the company, making it much easier for members to land a role that suits them.

Why a Paid Community?

By charging for membership, I'm able to ensure that I'm giving the community the attention it deserves.

The entry fee of €125 per year is an investment in the quality of this space—it keeps the commitment level high, reduces noise, and allows me to dedicate my time to making this community thrive.

After we reach 100 members, the rate will increase to €250 per year to reflect the growing value and exclusivity.

If you're wondering what the current offer looks like, here's a snapshot:

  • Exclusive Channels for Specialized Discussions: Taxes, remote living, tech stacks, job opportunities, and more.

  • Networking Opportunities: Connect with like-minded professionals and access referral-based job opportunities that aren't publicly listed.

  • Community Guidelines and Top-Down Management: A well-moderated, respectful environment that ensures valuable discussions and no spam.

The Future of Remote GOATs

I believe we're building something truly unique here—a reference platform for a new category of tech workers who are optimizing for freedom, career growth, and personal prosperity. And I'm committed to making this community the best it can be for everyone involved.

If this resonates with you, I'd love for you to join us. You can learn more about our community and membership at remotegoats.tech. Let's keep building, learning, and thriving—together.
