I think you can even get a total of less 10% working as a freelancer deducing costs etc. it’s a good spot for sure! I guess Varna is nice but I think in winter it gets too cold/humid?

absolutely you can, yes. I am working as SE at Tide, so our taxes are as described above. That said, if you are freelancing / B2B Contractor you can exclude all the health insurance/pension stuff out and you end up with 10% salary tax. (or less - not too familiar)
Varna is great and it's not that cold in winter, compared to all other places like Sofia in Bulgaria. Compared to Spain or similar countries, it's coold hah
